The Dojo App

The Dojo App makes it easy for me to keep families informed and up-to-date with everything that’s happening in our classroom.

By joining our class, you can message me directly, see class announcements, and monitor your child's behavior and need to know information on both a school and class level. To join our class Dojo, use this QR code.

Behavioral Questions?

I do my best to log points given in Dojo with a comment — if there are ever any questions regarding what has occurred in your student’s day, I strongly encourage reading through these comments under their “report!”

Questions about Grades?

  1. Monitor your students grades in PowerSchool — You may request your student’s code by calling the front office and speaking with Mrs. Blackwell. Teachers do NOT have access to these codes.
  2. Please review the graded work sent home on Monday’s of each week and look to see areas where your child struggled. Find anchor charts and other resources under the ‘for students’ link for specific topics.
  3. Encourage your student to complete extra practice items and sign up for tutoring if needed

AR goals & info

To attend AR celebrations, students must meet their quarterly goal and maintain at least an 80% comprehension rate

  • Students will have a nine week goal to meet (points earned when they take quizzes on books read) each of the four nine weeks.
  • Students will need to meet “book for a grade” every 3 weeks (grade will be taken on the highest score student receives in 3 weeks on book quizzes).
  • Login info was sent home via a letter on September 26th; the username is usually the first initial of their first name followed by the four letters of their last name. Their password is their student ID.
